Wine Roads
IN THE HEART OF THE TUSCAN MAREMMA YOU CAN TAKE DIFFERENT WINE ROUTES: WINE TOURIST ITINERARIES DESIGNED TO MAKE YOU DISCOVER THE FOOD AND WINE TRADITION OF THE TERRITORY AND THE SUGGESTIVE BEAUTY OF THE MEDIEVAL VILLAGES.

Wine is one of the components that most characterizes Tuscany and especially the Maremma, with its excellence it contributes to opening a window on the territory in which it is born. And it is in this sense that the wine routes come to life. Fourteen wine routes are currently recognized throughout the Tuscany region. In the Livorno Maremma or Alta Maremma, along the beautiful territory of the Etruscan Coast, the Etruscan Coast Wine and Oil Route can be followed. In the Grosseto Maremma you can travel along three different wine routes: the Colli di Maremma Wine and Flavor Route, south of the Province of Grosseto, la Monteregio Wine and Flavor Route of Massa Marittima, and the Montecucco Wine and Flavors of Amiata Road inland towards the Mount Amiata, the most recent.

THE WINE ROADS ARE A COMBINATION OF FOOD AND WINE AND TOURISM THAT REVALUATE THE TERRITORY AND ITS SPECIFICITIES.

The Maremma Wine Routes, through wine tourism itineraries (wine tourism, practiced especially in the autumn period), promote the places that produce the best red and white wines of the area with the aim of bringing the public to taste (and buy) the produced directly in wine cellars, farms and vineyards. The Wine Roads are marked by special signs and wind along particular routes that connect places with a high wine-growing vocation and related business activities (farmhouses, hotels, restaurants, wine bars). They are therefore an important opportunity for the promotion and economic and cultural development of the Maremma area.
