What is the best way to discover the islands of the Tuscan Archipelago?

Definitely on board a mini-cruise, which will lead you to discover some of the most beautiful islands of this archipelago: Giglio and Giannutri.

From April to October the MareGiglio shipping company organizes mini cruises with regular departures. The mini cruises will take you to discover the most beautiful secrets of these two magnificent Tuscan islands, and you will have the possibility to choose between different proposals, suitable for any need! In fact, MareGiglio offers various types of cruises, a whole day at the seaside, a mix of nature and history or an unmissable food and wine experience to discover the typical products of the area.
The organized excursions are daily and include lunch on board – based on fish and prepared by the expert hands of the crew -, guided excursions, stops for swimming in the most beautiful coves of the islands and the Argentario promontory.
Also available to guests is a tourist-environmental guide available for guided excursions upon reservation.
The on-board crew will also be available to cheer you up during the journey and during lunch on board!

On board the motor ship Revenge, a day to discover the islands of Giglio and Giannutri, a timeless classic! Departure from Porto Santo Stefano and after just an hour of navigation you reach the crystal clear waters of the Giglio island, where you can enjoy a refreshing swim in the wonderful Cannelle beach. Visit to the villages of Giglio Castello and Giglio Porto. We then continue towards the island of Giannutri, the ancient Dianium, with the remains of an ancient Roman port, near Cala dello Spalmatoio, of a Roman dock, near Cala Maestra, and of the imposing imperial villa, the heart of the Archaeological Park of Giannutri. Stop for a swim in the turquoise waters of the island.

The splendid island of Giannutri, the southernmost of the Tuscan Archipelago and certainly one of the most particular, for its natural beauty, the clear and crystalline sea, its seabed and its history. The excursion will take you to discover the island with a visit organized by an Official Guide of the Tuscan Archipelago National Park. This nature excursion will take you through the Mediterranean scrub and the wild and uncontaminated nature of the island, until you reach Cala Maestra, one of the most beautiful on the Tuscan island. During the excursion you will have the opportunity to discover the flora and fauna of Giannutri and, with a bit of luck, to spot the migratory birds that have made this island their route. On the way back you can visit the Roman villa.

Where to park

Finding parking in Porto Santo Stefano during the summer season can be difficult, which is why we have thought of a personalized parking booking service, choose the date of your mini cruise and book your parking too! The car park is located a few hundred meters from the embarkation point, is guarded and is open every day in the summer months, from 7 in the morning until the last arrival of the ferry.
